Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Confession available to Catholics on a mass scale.

On Monday March 25, 2013 Catholics will be able to go to confession in any Catholic church in the Archdiocese of New York and the Dioceses of Brooklyn and Rockville Center from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  This opportunity to have confessionals open for such a long period began in 2012.  This year some Catholics will attempt to bring others to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  They are the Cathedral of Saint Patrick Young Adults (CSPYA) who are led by Mr. Mario Bruschi.  He stated " We are looking for missionaries...troops on the ground....getting Catholic New Yorkers to return to the sacrament of confession! This is a challenging task, we kid you not. But it is challenge nonetheless and one we can accept during this Year of Faith and Holy Week.  This may be a an event specific to the Cathedral....but in reality, this is a Catholic event that benefits our faith."  The CSPYA missionaries will be asking people whether or not they are Catholic andif they are, directing them towards the confessionals of Saint Patrick's Cathedral.  The missionaries will also give Holy Week Schedules to those who leave the Cathedral.  Mr. Bruschi can be contacted at 917.597.3453 for more information.
