How to use Google Voice for ministry

Well it would be nice of each parish group would have it's own phone number.  Lets say you wanted to call your local Knights of Columbus Council.  It would cost too much money to give them a dedicated line or even a voice mail box, right?  Wrong!  In the past you would have to copy down the name, number and message of the caller and then give the message to the Knights of Columbus.  Now you can just go to voice.google.com and sign up for a free local number and a free account.  It basically forwards calls to an existing phone number (it can even ring multiple numbers.)  It can also work as a stand alone digital voice mail box and/or forward messages to your e-mail address.  Here are three examples of how I personally use Google voice.  Call them they are all working as digital voicemail boxes so I won't pick it up although I may call you back if you wish.  I give 347.692.8504 out every time I sign up for something I can win.  I also give it to businesses to whom I do not want to give my real number.  I give out 347.640.4603 to people who want to get in contact with saintjohnslife.com (our parish pro-life group).  This number automatically e-mails two of our members every time somebody leaves a message.  Some technical knowledge is required for this one.  I'll tell you how I did it just e-mail me by clicking here.  The third number I use is (845) 204-8981 for this site and our Spanish speaking parishioners.  This number will solve the problem of not having a Spanish speaking secretary and it goes directly to my digital voice mail.  I do not have to give out my personal cell phone number and its free!  God Bless You.
